MAYA BUZZed with the Stars at the 32nd Annual Congressional Hispanic Caucus Award Gala: Guests President and Michelle Obama, Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor and Marc Anthony Celebrated the Hispanic American Community

The CHCI Annual Awards Gala, held this year on Sept. 16, 2009, is the hallmark event during Hispanic Heritage Month and serves as the unifying event for the Hispanic American community. This year, the Gala program was developed around the unifying theme of Latinos Leading in the Arts, which highlighted CHCI, its mission and programs, the annual Chair’s Award(s), and the CHCI Medallion of Excellence honoree(s).
